Management Team

Norma Corkish

Chair

Norma has many years of experience in the voluntary sectors, as a fundraiser, as Chief Executive Officer, as trustee and governor and as consultant and trainer at home and abroad on organisational development and governance. She is involved with a number of other voluntary organisations at local and national level.

 

 

Denise Le Gal

Surrey County Council

Denise Le Gal is a Surrey County Councillor and Cabinet Member responsible for Business Services including finance, procurement, IT and corporate services. She is also Chairman of the Surrey Pension Fund Board.

In another capacity, Denise is a Trustee Director on the Board of the JP Morgan UK Retirement Plan and is a Board Director for a number of local companies and charities.

Originally from Canada, Denise has a BA from Carleton University and an MBA from INSEAD, after which she pursued a career in banking.

 

 

Julia Potts

Waverley Borough Council

Educated in Sussex, Julia moved to Farnham in 1997, having lived in London and then locally in Ash Vale for many years. She worked for Proctor & Gamble and is now self employed, running a Sales and Training Consultancy business. She was first elected in 2011, she is Deputy Leader of Waverley Borough Council, a board member of The Farnham Maltings and The Sandy Hill Bungalow. She sits on the M3LEP and is a Trustee of Hale Cottage Trust, Governor at Hale School & Sure Start Centre and involved with Farnham Area NHW.

Nathan Strong

First Wessex Housing Association

Nathan has worked in the Care and Support sector for the last 15 years. In that time Nathan has been responsible for floating support services, Temporary Accommodation, Family Intervention Projects and a 108 bed young persons Foyer. Nathan is currently the Tenancy and Community Support Services Manager for First Wessex, and has a Group wide responsibility for Financial Inclusion, Community Development and Care and Support services

 

 

Jeremy Stewardson

Jeremy Stewardson

Treasurer

Jeremy is a Chartered Accountant who has lived in the Heath End and Aldershot area for more than 25 years. Currently working part time for a large company in Reading, Jeremy also does voluntary gardening work two days a week with a local charitable organisation. He has also provided accounting and auditing assistance for a number of local charities.

 

 

Stephen Newport

Local resident

Stephen is a married father of one with three step children and a granddaughter. He enjoy gardening, DIY, building models and collecting toy figures. Stephen enjoys site seeing and travelling abroad, normally somewhere hot.  He worked at BT for 38 years as a Service Manager in ICT voice and data networks and is now semi retired, doing part time driving.
 
Stephen moved to Sandy Hill and became a Pavilion Tenant in 1999. He wanted to contribute to the community by helping improve the Sandy Hill estate so he joined the residents association in 2000 and was chairman until its end in 2014; and enjoys helping people and getting involved in community work and events.

 

 

Tracey Fealey

Tracey sits on the Board of the Bungalow as a representative of local residents.

 

 

Ann Edwards

Local resident

Ann sits on the Board of the Bungalow as a representative of local residents.

 

Tina Whitby

Local resident

Tina is a Sandy Hill resident and has been coming to the bungalow for 10 years. Tina was one of the first people to become involved with the opportunities group for single parents, taking part in IT and other activities; such as floristry, knitting and craft work.

These activities were a huge confidence boost and helped Tina get involved with the running of The Bungalow by joining the Board of Trustees to assist efforts to support the community.
